Corporate structure

Responsible for all aspects of the Library's governance, including the administration of the Board of Trustees and its Committees, and compliance matters.

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Chief Executive and Librarian and the two Directors, and administration of the Chief Executive and Librarian's diary.

Responsible for leading on communications, public relations and engaging with stakeholders and partners as well as income generation and fundraising.

Responsible for all aspects of the Library's HR, including staff health and wellbeing, training, and compliance with employment law.

The Chief Executive is responsible for ensuring that the Library meets its statutory requirements and charity objectives, by leading staff and giving strategic direction to the organisation's operations. The CE also operates as Accounting Officer and takes responsibility for performance and Library expenditure.

Owain has been a member of the Executive Team since 2019.  He has an MPhys and PhD in Physics and he leads the departments responsible for the collection, preservation and access of all Library collections both on-site and online. He also has responsibility for digital infrastructure and digital services.
