Dafydd Elis Thomas, AM, Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism has announced four new appointments to the National Library of Wales’ Board of Trustees.
Meri Huws has been appointed Vice President, and Michael Cavanagh, Quentin Howard and Carl Williams have been appointed as Trustees. All four will begin their four year term of office on 1 September 2019.
Dafydd Elis Thomas, said:
"I am delighted to announce the appointment of Meri Huws to the role of Vice President of the Library, along with three other Trustees. Along with a deep knowledge and understanding of Welsh culture, Meri also has a wealth of experience to bring to the role. I am also pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Cavanagh, Quentin Howard and Carl Williams; the three have very different backgrounds, and will bring a new and different perspective to the Board as it embarks on a new strategic plan for the organisation."
Rhodri Glyn Thomas, Library President said:
"The National Library of Wales Board of Trustees’ welcomes these appointments. The four will offer a range of experience and valuable expertise to the Board, and i know that my fellow Trustees join me in wishing the four of them every success as they begin their term of office."
