Friends of The National Library of Wales Privacy Statement

The Friends of The National Library of Wales gathers personal information for purposes directly related to a service, function or activity of the association. The association holds this information securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018. 

How long will you keep my personal data?

Your personal information is retained for a reasonable period and on the basis of your consent.

Will my personal data be shared?

We may sometimes use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our electronic communication. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our marketing communications. We will never allow any third party to use your information in any way other than that contracted by ourselves. We will not disclose your information to any other organisation.

What are my rights?

Under the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 you are entitled to a copy of the personal information that we hold about you and to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information that we may hold about you, and the right to object to the processing of your information if you believe that we do not have the right to process that information.
