Why do you need my personal data?
The National Library of Wales gathers personal information for purposes directly related to a service, function or activity of the Library. In this instance for our Mailing Lists, your information will be used to contact you with promotional material and we will be processing the data on the basis of your consent and preferences. The Library holds this information securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
How long will you keep my personal data?
Your personal information is retained on the basis of your consent. To check our records are correct and up to date we will contact you, at minimum every two years, to clarify your preferences and continued consent.
Will my personal data be shared?
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our electronic communication. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our marketing communications. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
We will never allow any third party to use your information in any way other than that contracted by ourselves. We will not disclose your information to any other organisation.

You can unsubscribe to our general mailings at any time by contacting us by mail, by phone on 01970 632800 or at post@llgc.org.uk .
You may unsubscribe to any of our electronic communications through MailChimp by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
What are my rights?
