Tlysau yr Hen Oesoedd' was a Welsh periodical and the first of its kind. Its aim was to reproduce early Welsh texts and in particular classical Welsh poetry. The periodical’s editor and founder was Lewis Morris, and its first, and only issue, was published in 1735. Even though his venture was a failure due to lack of support, Morris paved the way for many other scholars, and in particular members of the Gwyneddigion Society who were active collectors and publishers of Welsh texts at the end of the eighteenth century.
