The manuscripts section is split into four broad periods for ease of use: The Early Ages (–800), The Middle Ages (c. 800–1500), Early Modern Period (c. 1500–1800), Modern Period (c. 1800-)
The Early Ages
It's amazing what you can find in a rubbish heap! The Oxyrhyncus Papyri dates from between 113 AD to the 4th century and describe an order for fenugreek amongst other things!
Middle Ages
