NLW Privacy Statement

Why do you need my personal data?

To enable us to provide audited access to our collections and all other services available to you as an NLW account holder.

On what basis will you be processing my personal data?

As part of our Public Task as a National Library as laid out in our Charter and other governing documents.

Will anyone else be given a copy of my data?

The data will be stored securely by the Library and by a third party provider, ExLibris who maintains our Library Management System.  We use a third party, MailChimp, to communicate with you electronically. This communication will be confined to matters concerning your account and the services we offer. We collect statistics regarding the opening of emails and clicks, using standard industry technology to help us monitor and improve communication. How long will you keep my personal data?

For the duration of your account and for 6 months following the expiry of the account.

What happens if you do not provide the required information supplied on this form?

You will not be able to access collections and services that require a valid NLW account.
