Information Sessions

Re-opening to the Public

While the Reading Room is open to the public with a restricted service, we are not currently able to offer Information Sessions.

To use the Reading Room, you will have to book your place online before your visit. For more details on this and to read strict guidelines regarding the nature of the restricted service and what is expected of you go to Guidelines on re-opening.

These sessions offer an opportunity to learn about the Library’s collections and how to make the best use of the facilities and your time at the Library.

These are short sessions of around 30 minutes based on your needs. They are suitable for individuals or a small group of people (up to 3 people). You do not require a reader’s ticket before booking a session, however, as the sessions are held in the Reading Rooms, you will require a full reader’s ticket before you can gain access to the relevant Reading Room.

Details of how to obtain a reader’s ticket can be found on our website. Please ensure that you leave plenty of time to collect your ticket before the session begins.
