We are often told not to judge a book by its cover, but it’s difficult to ignore the intricate and beautiful books that form part of the Library’s Fine Bindings collection. From a Victorian experimental wooden binding to more contemporary designs inspired by the pages within, the books on display in this exhibition are a celebration of the very highest skill in the art of bookbinding.
