Gregynog Gallery, 01.10.21 – 10.12.21

An exhibition of photography by Jon Pountney and Age Cymru.  Provoked by the negative stereotypes of older people projected in the media, This Is Older celebrates the diversity and vivacity of older people and delves into the fascinating lives of ten people aged over 65 from across Wales.

Jon Pountney is inspired by communities and the themes of his work are rooted in people, place and history. Driven by storytelling through imagery, Jon has worked closely with the people involved in This Is Older and built that empathy and understanding into these extraordinary images.
