23 May – 12 December

An exhibition celebrating 150 years since the first Welshmen travelled on the Mimosa towards their new life in Patagonia.

Through manuscripts, early photographs and artworks, we will follow the first migrants’ journey from the initial preparations to the landing at Puerto Madryn on 28 July 1865.  We will look at their early life on the plains and how the migrants coped with the obstacles they faced.

We will also be celebrating the close and continuing relationship between Wales and the Gwladfa by displaying a Welsh Bible that has travelled back to Wales especially for the celebratory year.
