The National Eisteddfod of Wales is the largest of numerous Eisteddfodau that are held annually in Wales. Considered to be the largest music and poetry festival in Europe with about 150,000 visitor in attendance and over 250 trade stands. The festival travels, alternating between the north and south of Wales. It is the hallmark of the celebration of welsh art, language and culture dating back to as far as 1176.
