Calling all young animators!

Are you a talented animator with the ability to create eye-catching animation? The National Library of Wales is looking for talented animators to enter our online competition to produce a short animation (any technique, any style) to promote the Library’s next major exhibition on the history of communication.

The animation should show a brief history of communication from the earliest forms through to the digital age:  keeping in mind key milestones such as the revolution of speech, hieroglyphics, smoke signals, the invention of the telegraph, telephone, radio, television through to computer technology, the World Wide Web and social media. The animation should be no longer than 2 minutes and the narrative should be concise, original and creative and above all should excite and inspire people to visit the exhibition in the Library.  Whether you are working or studying as a designer, or a young person with a passion for animation, this is a great opportunity to get your work more widely recognised – give it a go!
