The National Library of Wales is one of the great libraries of the world and one of our nation’s most iconic buildings. Built in the early part of the 20th century the Library stands proudly above the seaside town of Aberystwyth in west Wales. It offers splendid views overlooking the town, the castle and Cardigan Bay. The glorious building offers a spectacular backdrop to one of the most important days of your life.

  • “The day itself was fantastic. It’s such an impressive venue, with its grand entrance hall, staircase, the Council Chamber with its panelling and breath-taking views over the town and bay; everybody was impressed”

  • "As neither of us are religious, but both of us love books, the library offered us a beautiful, grand building where we can still tie the knot in beautiful settings. We are Aberystwyth alumni and it was important to us to showcase as much of the town as possible, and the view from the Library does an amazing job of this"

  • "Having sadly never met either of my grandfathers, but knowing that they spent much of their heyday at the National Library of Wales, it was the perfect location for us to get married and share that personal connection with them. Not to mention that we were making our own little piece of history in a venue bursting with a wealth of history and knowledge - it felt so special to be surrounded by that"
