The breadth of our collections is huge. This section offers you an understanding of the types of collections we have. It's not a full list by any means, but it is a general introduction.
We have over 6 million books, over 40,000 manuscripts, over 1.5 million maps and much, much more. We are a Legal Deposit Library, which means we have a right to a copy of each book published in Britain. Our main collection area is items relating to Wales and the Celtic countries, but our collections aren't confined to this.
