Visits and workshops

Before visiting the Library you will need to contact us to discuss the details of your visit. The National Library of Wales Education Service is responsible for visits by schools, groups of students, colleges, families delivering formal education and lifelong learners.
Spring 2025: Art workshops at the National Library of Wales

During the spring, the National Library's Education Service will present workshops based on the 'No Welsh Art' exhibition. The visits will be an opportunity for learners to enjoy over 250 Welsh artworks of national significance, in the Library's largest exhibition space, the Gregynog Gallery. The main theme of the workshops will be identity, and the activities will focus on how we see ourselves as individuals, and how others portray us and our 'cynefin’.

NLW Research
As a research institution, the Library is very keen to contribute to the research field. The Research Programme in Digital Collections (known as NLW Research) was established in 2011. Much of the work is based on assessing the use of digital collections and how we can improve the way in which they're used for research, teaching our community outreach. The hope is that this work will lead to creating new digital content.
