This week, we join organisations across the UK in celebrating National Trustees’ Week - a time to recognise and thank the incredible individuals who give their time, expertise, and passion to support the Library.
Their involvement helps to strengthen the Library's leadership and ensuring its continued success in collecting, preserving and sharing Wales' cultural heritage.

“It’s an absolute privilege to serve as a Trustee of the National Library of Wales during such a dynamic period of change, growth, and renewal at the institution. Being part of the Library’s journey—helping to shape decisions that touch every corner of its work, from education and administration to diversity and equality—has been deeply rewarding.
I feel a strong personal connection to the Library’s mission to celebrate and promote Welsh language and culture, and I hope to continue playing a meaningful part in that effort. Seeing Aberystwyth recently recognised as a UNESCO City of Literature has been a wonderful reminder of what we can achieve together, and I cannot wait to celebrate more wins in the coming years.”
