Jo Williams appointed to Library Board of Trustees

The National Library of Wales is delighted to have appointed Jo Williams to its Board of Trustees. 

Williams is originally from County Tyrone and moved to Wales in the 1970’s. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and gained an MBA with the Open University Business School in 1998. She is extensively experienced as a senior finance and business professional in the public sector in Wales and has twelve years experience since 2013 as a Governance and Audit Committee lay member in two South Wales unitary councils. Jo has taught Accounting and Finance at first and master degree levels for Cardiff Business School on a part-time basis for a number of years. 

She is interested in the culture and heritage of the Celtic nations and learned Welsh as a parent and meithrin leader in the Welsh-medium Education sector in the 1980’s. She is currently re-learning the Irish language (An Ghaeilge) through online learning resources and attendance at residential courses in the County Donegal Gaeltacht.
