Join us at the Library for some summer fun

18 July 2025

The holidays are here and we're looking forward to some summer fun at the Library.

Our popular play area, ideal for 3 to 7 year olds with all kinds of toys and activities to spark their imagination, is open Monday-Saturday. A fun-filled programme of events for children will also be held in the Library over the Summer, and there will be several fun activities for families in the Wales Broadcast Archive.

If you enjoy art and culture, why not visit our No Welsh Art exhibition the Gregynog Gallery. With our fun children’s activity booklet, the whole family can enjoy over 250 works of art that tell the story of art in Wales. There is also a No Welsh Art programme of summer events taking place through August and into early September, including guided tours with the exhibition's curator, Peter Lord (12/08, 20/08 (audio-described tour), 03/09).

Why not also visit the Byd Bach Aber exhibition or take this rare opportunity to see the personal bibles of Henry VIII and Thomas Cromwell reunited for the first time. And remember that the Pendinas cafe is open Monday-Saturday serving hot and cold drinks, delicious cakes and various lunch options, as well as the Library Shop if you're looking for a gift or to treat yourself.
