It also and plays an integral part in fulfilling the Library's 2025-2030 strategy of connecting Wales and the World.
Chief Executive Rhodri Llwyd Morgan said:
“I am very proud that the National Library of Wales has been accepted as a member of this distinguished international network. The Library is proud of the work it does as part of international partnerships and initiatives. CENL will strengthen the profile of Wales in the fields of culture, heritage, data and innovation.
An important theme at this year's meeting in Luxembourg was promoting collaboration in cyber security and protecting significant and unique digital assets so that they remain accessible to the people of Wales for future generations.”
CENL is a network of national libraries from across Europe, working together to preserve and promote the continent’s cultural and intellectual heritage, while supporting collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional development.
