Designed specifically for libraries in the UK and Ireland, Access UK & Ireland News: 2025 Edition enables researchers to easily search and browse over 1,250 national, regional and local titles from key cities such as Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin, Leeds, London, Liverpool, Manchester, and more. This exclusive collection features editorial news from daily and weekly news sources, with articles spanning from the early 1980s to the present day. This useful addition will allow our users to explore the past and stay up-to-date on local, national and global news.
The world of news is continuously evolving. While in the past news was primarily delivered in print, today it is published in a wide variety of formats. The 2025 Edition combines all formats – full-text articles, web-only content, PDF image editions (beginning in 2019) – in a single interface, providing researchers with seamless access to deep, comprehensive local coverage.
