The Advisory Board meets biannually to advise the Editor, The Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies and The National Library of Wales on matters relating to the development of The Dictionary of Welsh Biography.

Current members are: 

  • Rhys David (Journalist and member of The Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion Council)
  • Ffion Hague (Consultant, broadcaster and biographer)
  • Carolyn Hitt (Journalist)
  • Dinah Evans (Member of the Women's Archive Wales Committee)
  • Marion Löffler (Reader in History at Cardiff University and former Assistant Editor of The Dictionary of Welsh Biography)
  • Densil Morgan (Emeritus Professor of Theology, University of Wales Trinity St David, on behalf of The Learned Society of Wales)
  • Stephen Roberts (Emeritus Director of the History of Parliament Trust and member of The Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion Council)
  • John Tucker (Professor of Computer Science, Swansea University, on behalf of The Learned Society of Wales)
