This book includes photographs of people and events in small towns and rural areas, mostly in mid Wales, during the Second World War. This unique photographic depiction of how people in parts of Wales responded during this era of conflict and change is accompanied by text and interpretation written by The National Library of Wales Education Service.

The Second World War in Wales Workshop available

A workshop that explores the lives of people in Wales during the Second World War, with a particular focus on the lives of children. Film, original items from the period and the Geoff Charles photograph collection are all used to deliver an interactive and hands on workshop. Duration: 2 hours.
