Please note that English subtitles are available for some of the Welsh-language clips, and we are in the process of adding subtitles to the remaining ones.

A group of men lead the Mari Lwyd mare to the door of the Old House Inn, Llangynwyd. Dafydd ’Dai’ Jenkins representing the groups starts to sing in battle with Cynwyd Evans who is on the inside of the tavern. The aim is for the outsiders to gain entry, thus gaining food and drink and celebrations, and also ensuring good luck to those inside.
