These clips demonstrate how ways of travelling have changed a great deal during the 20th century from the introduction of the motorway to the disappearance of steam trains. Ports such as Cardiff were very busy but by the middle of the 20th century, flying from Rhoose was the fastest way to travel overseas.

Please note that English subtitles are available for some of the Welsh-language clips, and we are in the process of adding subtitles to the remaining ones.
