Gregynog gallery and Annexe
The art historian Peter Lord has been exploring the myth that there is ‘no Welsh Art’ for decades, and has collected a substantial collection of Welsh art, much of which have not been publicly displayed before. The exhibition is a unique opportunity to view and enjoy over 250 works of art. The story starts with the visual world of the gentry, middle classes and common people and how various Welsh identities have been portrayed. Through this, it reveals the richness of Wales’ visual culture as well as Wales’ social and political history.
The exhibition is on the upper floor with lift access. Visitors are advised to contact the Library in advance if there are any additional access requirements. An audio tour is available which includes audio descriptions for some items in the exhibitions.
