An exhibition of images by photographer Nick Treharne as part of a project to document contemporary Wales.
The National Library of Wales houses almost 1 million photographs connected to Wales. These range from works by pioneering photographers from the earliest days of photography to portfolios by contemporary practitioners of the art.
Since 2018, Nick’s ‘vision’ has been to build a comprehensive portfolio of life in Wales. Much of his work is observational as he seeks out engaging moments in the streets, the countryside and the many events that take place during each year. From events and traditions that are an integral part of welsh life, to portraits of the inspirational and interesting characters he meets on his journey, this “lover of the split second” transforms ordinary everyday subjects into something extraordinary.
